Understand what the investment amount covers, which government fees are additional and why an itemised family quotation gives a clearer basis for choosing a route.

Read the investment amount and the fee schedule together

A useful Saint Lucia citizenship budget answers two questions: how much capital must you commit, and which expenses remain a cost? The minimum qualifying investment is one part of that picture. Government processing and due diligence, route-specific administration and professional services need to be considered separately.

The examples below use government figures published on the official investment page and in the July 2024 Gazette, reviewed on 6 October 2026. They are illustrative subtotals, not complete quotations. All amounts are in US dollars. The household examples deliberately use children under 16 to keep the assumptions clear.

National Economic Fund: a contribution route

The National Economic Fund minimum is $240,000 for the applicant and up to three qualifying dependants. Beyond those three dependants, the published contribution increases by $10,000 for each additional dependant under 18 and $20,000 for each above 18. The Gazette uses those exact age boundaries, so a case at age 18 needs confirmation.

The contribution does not create investment principal for later repayment. For planning purposes, examine the amount as a lasting cost alongside the associated fees. This makes it particularly important to compare the complete household calculation rather than looking only at the headline minimum.

National Action Bond: capital committed for five years

The bond route requires $300,000 in non-interest-bearing government bonds and a $50,000 administration fee. The bonds must remain in the applicant's name for five years from first issue. Processing, due diligence and other applicable costs are additional.

Separate the bond principal from expenses when comparing this route with a contribution. Read the repayment terms and consider sovereign risk, access to capital and the return you might otherwise seek on that money. A five-year holding period is not a promise of repayment on a particular date.

Approved property and enterprise routes

The official CIP investment page publishes a $300,000 minimum for its approved real-estate project category, plus administration and other fees. The March 2026 amendments also introduce an approved built real-estate route from $500,000, covering qualifying apartments or villas, with a minimum five-year holding period after citizenship is granted. These are distinct categories. MFG Consultants coordinates confirmation of project approval, the applicable route, ownership conditions and the complete commitment before you proceed. An ordinary property purchase should not be assumed to qualify.

Approved enterprise investment is also available. The March 2026 amendments set out an option of $250,000 for an applicant and qualifying dependants, alongside larger enterprise options. Administration fees apply. We check project availability and the specific requirements before including this route in your personal comparison.

Government fee assumptions used in the examples

The current investment page lists $2,000 processing for the principal applicant and $1,000 for each dependant. Main-applicant due diligence is $8,000; the spouse's due diligence is $5,000. The examples assume no child due diligence fee for children under 16. They exclude passport issuance and any additional case-specific charge.

The March 2026 amendments specify $8,000 due diligence for the principal applicant and $5,000 for each qualifying dependant over 16. Our family examples use children under 16 to keep the assumptions clear. Adult dependants, a different family composition and additional checks can change the calculation; your proposal confirms the treatment of every person included.

Three household examples: government subtotals only

Individual, National Economic Fund: $240,000 contribution + $8,000 due diligence + $2,000 processing = $250,000. Under the bond route, $300,000 principal + $50,000 administration + the same $10,000 assessment and processing fees = $360,000.

Couple with two children under 16, National Economic Fund: $240,000 contribution + $13,000 combined due diligence + $5,000 processing = $258,000. The corresponding bond subtotal is $368,000, including its $300,000 principal and $50,000 administration fee.

Couple with four children under 16, National Economic Fund: $260,000 contribution, including two additional dependants, + $13,000 due diligence + $7,000 processing = $280,000. The corresponding bond subtotal is $370,000. These are calculations from the stated assumptions, not quotations issued by the government.

One coordinated service. A clear proposal.

Complete citizenship application service: estimated at US$10,635 per application. One dedicated team guiding your family from initial assessment to passport issuance. Your service includes personal guidance and coordination with authorised local representation for formal submission. The same service-fee estimate applies regardless of the number of eligible dependants included in that application. You work with one dedicated MFG Consultants relationship throughout the journey. This is an indicative USD estimate, not a fixed final quotation. Your personal proposal confirms the billing currency, exchange basis, applicable taxes and third-party expenses before commitment.

Investment, public fees and estimated complete application service — family of four: for two adults and two children under 16, add the same US$10,635 complete application service estimate to either public-fee subtotal.

National Economic Fund: US$258,000 investment and public fees + US$10,635 complete application service estimate = US$268,635.

National Action Bond: US$368,000 investment and public fees + US$10,635 complete application service estimate = US$378,635. This includes the US$300,000 bond principal, subject to its holding and repayment terms.

These service-inclusive examples exclude passport issuance, bank charges, delivery, translations, certification, other document or third-party expenses and applicable taxes. Final currency and all applicable charges are confirmed in your quotation.

Exchange-rate reference: European Central Bank, 6 October 2026, EUR 1 = USD 1.1269; the combined service estimate is rounded to the nearest US dollar. The reference rate is used for illustration and is not a transactional exchange-rate commitment.

Use the family cost comparator on our homepage to explore your estimated investment, public charges and complete application service fee. The statutory route examples in this article remain investment and public-fee subtotals; the service-inclusive family example below shows the additional estimated commitment. Passport, banking, delivery, document and other third-party expenses, together with applicable taxes, are confirmed in your personal proposal.

MFG Consultants can help you compare the initial commitment and the cost characteristics of the available routes using your actual family profile. Bring the ages of each proposed dependant and your preferred investment approach to the assessment. You can then review a personalised quotation before deciding how to proceed. Programme rules, project availability and fees may change.

Frequently asked questions

Is $240,000 the complete price of citizenship?

No. It is the minimum NEF contribution for the stated family size. Government fees, professional services and other expenses must be added.

Is the bond route cheaper?

It requires a larger initial commitment. Compare fees, capital availability, repayment terms and opportunity cost before deciding which route fits.

How is the complete application service included?

The statutory examples are labelled investment and public fees only. Add the estimated fee for MFG Consultants’ complete citizenship application service of US$10,635 per application for advisory support and authorised local representation, regardless of eligible family size. The family-of-four examples including that service estimate are US$268,635 for the National Economic Fund route and US$378,635 for the National Action Bond route, before passport, bank, document and other third-party expenses or applicable taxes. Your final proposal confirms currency and charges.
